Fleurieu Made is a machine knitting studio in Normanville, South Australia. We design and make knitwear locally, repair the knits you already own, produce small runs for other labels, and run hands-on events. We also created the FM Index®, which assesses how circular a garment really is.

The FM Index®: circularity evidence, garment by garment

The FM Index® is a garment-level circularity assessment. It gives procurement teams, brands and regulators evidence of how a garment is made, how long it should last, and what happens at end of life. The FM Repair Protocol extends that evidence to every repair.

Why we do this

I'm Angelina Russo. I have worked with domestic knitting machines for more than 25 years, and I draw on my family's Italian textile heritage in everything I make. Fleurieu Made exists to keep good knitwear in use: made well, repaired properly, and backed by evidence.
